Careers & Partnerships

Help people when they need it most.

We’re hiring real humans who practice with honesty and integrity above all else. The goal of typical insurance is to save the lives and loved ones of our clients and make the worst case scenarios a little less worse.

Why Typical

We’re independent non-captive agents and brokers with a fiduciary commitment to our clients.

01 / Anti-MLM
No downlines. No recruiting requirements.

You earn from policies you write, not from people you sponsor. We don't run pyramids, we don't run "team builds," and we don't pay you to pay us. If you've been burned by an MLM-shaped agency before, we get it.

02 / Anti-Quota Theater
No daily call dials. No leaderboard guilt.

We track outcomes, not activity theater. If you write good policies and serve clients honestly, no one is auditing your call logs at 5pm Friday. Adults running a business doesn't require choreography.

03 / Independent & Plainspoken
Independent contractors, multi-carrier appointments.

Our agents are 1099 independents with appointments across multiple carriers — so you place the policy that actually fits the client, not the one that pays the highest captive bonus this quarter. Honest math wins clients twice.

Open Roles

Whether you’re a licensed agent or running an audience that aligns with ours, we’d love to hear from you.

Role 01 No license required Referral / Affiliate Remote

Affiliate — Referral & Advertising Partners

If you run a podcast, newsletter, blog, YouTube channel, financial-planning practice, real-estate firm, or any audience that overlaps with ours — there's a partnership here. Our affiliate program pays a flat referral fee for every client you send who ends up bound on a policy, plus residuals on policies that renew. No insurance license required.

We provide tracking links, co-branded landing pages, ad creative, and clean reporting. We don't lock you into exclusivity, and we don't gate payouts behind volume targets that conveniently reset every quarter.

Best fit for: financial educators, FIRE-movement creators, parenting and "responsible-adulting" niches, mortgage and real estate professionals, podcasters with engaged 25-55 audiences.

Role 02 P&C license required Independent contractor Multi-carrier

Property & Casualty Agent — Personal & Commercial Lines

P&C is the bedrock of personal insurance — homeowners, renters, condo, umbrella liability, recreational vehicles, plus the commercial side: business property, general liability, commercial auto, workers' comp.

We generate the leads, and you spend your time on coverage reviews, quoting, comparing carriers, and walking clients through claims when something actually happens.

Role 03 L&H license required ACA, Medicare, Group Annual cycle

Health Insurance Agent

Health insurance agents help individuals, families, and small businesses navigate one of the most genuinely confusing systems in American life: the ACA marketplace, Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans, short-term health plans, dental, vision, and group health for small employers. Day to day, the work is consultative — most people don't understand the difference between a deductible, a coinsurance percentage, an out-of-pocket max, and a copay, and your job is to walk them through it without making them feel stupid.

Health is a uniquely seasonal business: the bulk of activity clusters around open enrollment (Nov 1 - Jan 15 for ACA, Oct 15 - Dec 7 for Medicare), with steady servicing work throughout the year. In most states, the health insurance license is bundled with life insurance under a combined Life & Health license — meaning a health agent is naturally positioned to also write life insurance, which we strongly encourage. We're appointed with major health carriers and provide enrollment platforms, training on regulatory updates, and compliance support.

Best fit for: licensed L&H agents who enjoy consultative selling and complex problem-solving, or current health agents looking to expand into life and disability through cross-sell.

Role 04 L&H license required Term, Whole, IUL, Annuities High commission

Life Insurance Agent

Life insurance agents help families plan for the financial consequences of dying — a topic the rest of the industry seems to find embarrassing. The day to day involves needs analysis (DIME, income replacement, estate liquidity), running quotes across carriers, walking clients through underwriting, and being the person who shows up when a beneficiary actually has to file a claim.

We're hiring life agents who can talk about death without flinching and money without grandstanding. Our clients want a real human who'll quote them honestly, not a drip campaign of "peace of mind" emails.

Best fit for: licensed life agents tired of the "smile and dial" culture, financial advisors who want to add a life-licensed line, or career-changers from finance, healthcare, or counseling who want their next career to involve actually helping families.
