Typical Insurance started as a personal thing. I'd seen what the financial side of a death does to a family, and I kept noticing the same pattern: the grief is unavoidable, but the money problems usually aren't.
I run Typical Insurance LLC, an independent agency in downtown Orlando serving all fifty states. Independent means no carrier sets my recommendations, so when a product is wrong for you, I can say so.
Why this exists
The insurance industry runs on euphemism. “If something happens to you.” “Peace of mind.” “Protection for the unexpected.” Nobody says the word death, even though death is the entire product.
I think that's part of why so many families end up with a GoFundMe instead of a death benefit. You can't plan for a thing you won't name. So this site tries to name it plainly and show the numbers, because the goal is simple: make a real difference in a family's financial future before the worst day arrives, not after.

How I'm paid
Carriers pay me a commission when a policy is placed. You never pay a fee, and the commission doesn't change your premium. I put this on my author page because if you're going to trust the writing, you should know exactly how the writer gets paid.
